OMG! Mamta Kulkarni resurfaces

Mamta Kulkarni had made headlines in 2014 after her husband Vijay ‘Vicky’ Goswami was arrested in Kenya on charges of drug trafficking. The actress had once again gone into hiding after the episode. Now, SpotboyE exclusively has it that the former actress (who is still in Kenya) has started a line production company with businessman Uroo Patel, a Kenyan resident of Indian origin.

We hear, her production business has turned out to be a successful venture. Many Indian projects that are shot in Kenya are handled by her company.

We hear, she has assumed a new name to conceal her identity as much as possible – in her dealings. “Mamta is not called by her original name. It’s difficult to identify her as well,” says a production assistant who recently travelled to Kenya for a shoot.

Grey-haired and bespectacled, the 40-something is rumoured to have become a pale shadow of the glamorous sex siren, who courted controversies one after another.

The actress had shocked the entire country when she posed topless for a popular film magazine in the 90s. After a string of flops, Mamta disappeared from the big screen in the early 2000s. There was no trace of her for the next few years – it was then reported that she was living in Dubai and had married Vicky, an international drug lord. Mamta was believed to have even converted to Islam.

When Vicky was released in 2012 after serving a 15-year sentence for drug trafficking, the two moved bag and baggage to Nairobi.

A year later, reports surfaced that Mamta had turned spiritual and had even written a book on the subject.

Again in 2014, Mamta was in the news when Vicky was arrested in Nairobi.
